From the cooler climate of Illinois to the Gulf of Mexico was just what the Doctor ordered.

From the cooler climate of Illinois to the Gulf of Mexico.

A Couple of buddies, Jeff, and Richard from Illinois visited Siesta Key for the first time. The reason, they both turned 50 this year and that's reason enough.

They also wanted to experience fishing in salt water for the first time. We met early at the boat ramp in search of fish and a good time.

Both anglers had some experience and did very well. By the end of the trip, we had caught a variety of inshore species.

Caught and released on this day were snook, jack crevalle, gag grouper, ladyfish, and catfish. Adding to their experience was a gorgeous chamber of commerce day on the waters surrounding Siesta Key.

Fishing has been a lifetime passion for me. Depending on the skill level of my clients what I like to do is put them on big fish using artificial lures. I like to educating and passing on my knowledge of local history and the many sights the area has to offer while we are on the water.
